Multipurpose of a 1932 historical building of Gustave Umbdenstock. This building destinated to demolition was part of a one and a half year competition. The tower, the tridents and the bowl that we won together were not realized. The docks illustrate and demonstrate the re-use circular environmental conscience and the will to compose the future of the cities with their “objets trouvés” of the past. Jet grouting was used to answer new seismic regulations plus thermic renovation for low energy. Steel frame was used to be lighter 900T. and 6 Virendeel porticos to achieve the 15 m. cantilever that housess the public square underneath. Housing in steel is very rare in France and the critics called that industrial “cadavre exquis” the horizontal “lake shore drive” with his “El Lissitsky” external battery of stairs.
